Pune City

Pune formerly spelled Poona is the second largest city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is considered to be the cultural capital of Maharashtra.

Pune is known as the “Oxford of the East” due to the presence of several well-known educational institutions. The city has emerged as a major educational hub in recent decades. The Marathi culture and the modernisation go in hand in hand in this unbelievably beautiful city.

Pune is a city that perfectly blends modernity with tradition. Behind the modern commercialized façade of Pune lies the roots of ancient Poona, which gave birth to the Maratha Empire and had a very crucial role to play in the history of India’s independence.
